Meeting Place and Time: Meeting point will be the Oilville Park and Ride commuter lot (Rt. 617, exit 167 off I-64) at 7:20 AM for a 7:30 AM departure. Bring $10 to give to your driver. If you are not in the RVA area, contact the hike leader to make arrangements to meet at the trailhead.

Hike Details: This is a 10.2 mile strenuous hike with 2600' elevation gain. We'll park along Skyline Drive at Two Mile Run Overlook, walk north along the Drive to the Rocky Mount trail, take the Rocky Mount trail to the junction with the Gap Run trail, then continue on the Rocky Mount trail clockwise to where it picks up the Gap Run trail on the far side of Rocky Mount. We'll then follow the Gap Run Trail back to its intersection with the Rocky Mount trail, continue on the Rocky Mount trail back to Skyline Drive and then walk south on the Drive to the cars. Plan on 5-6 hours for this hike, which includes time for lunch.
