Once again it has turned too hot to schedule a Wednesday hike. Instead, let's use this day to get together for a planning lunch. We can share tales of our summer adventures, and, with the restructuring of ODATC hikes into three categories, it's a good opportunity to brainstorm hikes to schedule into the fall.
La Playa Mexican Restaurant is located at 2617 W Broad St, across from the Science Museum. You can park in the lot between the Science Museum and the Children's Museum. And if you haven't been to the Science Museum for a while, you can spend time there before or after our lunch exploring the exhibits.
RSVP not required, but please text Anne-Marie McCartan, coordinator of Wednesday hikes, at 757-345-1395 if you think you will be attending. This will give her an idea of how many seats to reserve at the restaurant.
The ODATC Mission
The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.
The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.
