Join hike leader Anne-Marie McCartan (757-345-1395) for this 4-mile hike. We'll wander through the park's extensive offerings: the RF&P Park with its athletic fields and train cars, the historic Meadow Farm Museum, including the 1810 farmhouse, and the new Parsons Community Center.
Terrain is a mix of concrete, fields, and wooded areas with no change in elevation. Entrance to the park is at 3400 Mountain Rd, Glen Allen. Drive a short distance until you see a playground on the right, and park in the adjoining lot. Meet up by 9:50. Plenty of restroom facilities, and hikers can reassemble nearby for lunch afterwards.
