In contrast to our last hike in the woods, this is a 4-mile urban stroll along the James River. We'll start at the parking area (described below), walk along the Capital Trail to the Low Line, cross over to Tobacco Row, along the Capital Trail to Rocketts Landing and back to parking. Those wishing a shorter hike can return to parking at 2.5 miles. There are several nice spots to eat near the end of the trail. This will be familiar to those who took this hike last spring.
Meet at the parking lot along the River at the intersection of East Main St and Nicolson St (called Wharf St) by 9:50. Contact Anne-Marie McCartan at 757-345-1395 with any questions. NOTE: The route only has two Porta Pottis at the Shiplock Park parking lot.
