How about a brisk hike along the AT this Friday? Anne-Marie McCartan is heading up to Afton for a day trip and is looking for up to 3 people to come along. We'll carpool from the Hickory Haven Park and Ride (Rockville exit on I64) at 9:30, have lunch at our cottage on the mountain, then hike a portion of our trail (from Rockfish Gap). We'll return by 5:30 to Richmond. This opportunity is intended from Wednesday hikers who find the usual mountain hikes a bit daunting but want to reacquaint themselves with the AT.
