Join us for a 7-mile hike around Lake Matoaka, west of the main campus of William and Mary in
Williamsburg. This is NOT the Williamsburg hike on sidewalks through town that we have done in the past. Hike the wooded trails surrounding Lake Matoaka with a brief walk on city streets. We suggest hiking poles due to the number of roots and rocks on the trails, especially if it has rained on the days before the hike.
Our hike begins at 9:00 am and will finish by 1:00 pm for lunch on your own in the Williamsburg area. Bring water and snacks. Restrooms are available at the beginning and mid- points. A limit of 10 participants for this hike requires a sign-up. Please contact Ellie or Joanne to sign up and receive the exact location and parking instructions.
