Steve Parker (Stephen.parker4@verizon.net or 804-955-7179) and Jay Henderson (hendje3@gmail.com or 804-244-2287) invite you to join them for a 4-5 mile hike around the Larus Park trails. Larus Park is located near the intersection of Huguenot Rd and Buford/Stony Point Rds.
Meet at 9:50 AM at the Trader Joe’s Parking Lot in the Stony Point Shopping Center. The parking lot is located at 3000 Stony Point Road, Richmond, VA 23235. Please park on the side nearest Stony Point Road, as we have to cross the road to get to the park.
We will begin hiking promptly at 10:00 AM. The trail is moderately hilly with numerous hazards such as leaves roots, rocks, and mountain bike riders. It is suggested that all wear hiking shoes or boots, especially if there have been recent rains. Hiking poles are suggested. Please note that the Park has no restrooms, but restrooms are available at Trader Joe’s.
NOTE: The roads on most routes to Stony Point are currently under construction. We suggest you plan your route in advance to avoid being delayed.
