We’re going to honor Larry by doing the 10-mile Rip Rap Hollow hike, which was one of Larry’s favorites. I rate this hike as strenuous because of its 2,400-foot elevation gain, but it’s very doable to those in reasonably good hiking shape. This is a scenic hike and the highlight of the day will be taking a dip in a classic swim hole - just as Larry would have done. Bring your water shoes, towel, and afterwards we’ll dine on Mexican food at one of Larry’s favorite spots. (Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant 2206 Fontaine Ave Ext, Charlottesville).
